Someone is watching how you speak, work and love, and learning from it. Influence is not a title; it is the ripple of your presence. Use it wisely, because it is already working.
Live it: Ask who might be learning from you right now. Teach them well today.
People follow what you do, not what you say.
Words inspire, but actions teach. The leader who lives the message does not have to shout it. Integrity between what you preach and what you practice is the most persuasive speech there is.
Live it: Do the thing you keep telling others to do.
We rise and fall together.
No one is fully free while others are bound. Every community carries shared weight, and each person holds a piece. Responsibility is not blame — it is the ability to respond to what belongs to all of us.
Live it: Do one thing today for your community that nobody asked you to do.
The greatest leader serves the most.
True leadership lifts others instead of ruling them. The servant leader asks what people need to thrive and then clears the way. Power used to serve multiplies; power used to dominate eventually collapses.
Live it: Ask someone you lead: what do you need from me?
Move with meaning, not just motion.
Busy is not the same as purposeful. Purposeful action is aimed at something that matters. One aligned act can move more than a hundred scattered ones.
Live it: Cross off one busy task. Replace it with one purposeful one.
Real power creates more power in others.
The strongest leaders make others stronger. Empowerment hands people their own authority instead of keeping them dependent. When you empower someone, you multiply the light in the world.
Live it: Give someone the chance to lead something you usually control.
See the whole board, not only the next move.
Strategy is vision with a map. It sees where things are going, not only where they are. The strategic mind chooses today’s steps by tomorrow’s destination.
Live it: Write where you want to be in one year. Name the three steps that lead there.
The wisest answer is usually shared.
No single mind sees everything. Collaboration draws out the brilliance in a group. The collaborative leader listens first, gathers voices and weaves them into a direction everyone owns.
Live it: Ask for input before your next decision, and actually use it.
Know what you stand for before the storm comes.
Principles are the compass you set in calm weather so you can steer in rough seas. Without them, every pressure moves you. With them, you can make hard choices quickly and sleep at night.
Live it: Write your three non-negotiable principles.
Be whole — the same in every room.
Integrity comes from integer: whole, undivided. It means the you in private matches the you in public. Integrity is the foundation of trust, and trust is the foundation of everything built between people.
Live it: Find one small place where your words and actions do not match. Fix it.
